Follow KY 689 for about 2 miles then turn right onto KY 1624
Follow KY 1624 for about 6 miles, You will reach the a point where the road turns to gravel

Just after crossing into Kentucky, exit onto US-23 South at exit #191
Follow US 23 for about 20 miles until you reach the Paintsville / Staffordsville exit
Take the Paintsville exit, turn right at the stop light at the end of the ramp onto KY 40
Follow KY 40 for less than 2 miles then turn right onto KY 172 toward Flatgap
